challenging for a person with disabilities, regardless of your age. Whatever support someone might need, we are happy to help. Sometimes the planning for a person to leave home needs to happen over years – sometimes it can happen much more quickly.

The Flexi Board has decided to build a number of units in a “Village” style complex and you can read all about it here. The Village is a brand new idea and has never be tried before, but we are confident that it will give everyone another option in their hunt for the perfect place to live!

You might just feel like having a chat with us and for us just to listen to your thoughts, or you might like help with reading material and resources. You might like to have some help with actually finding and securing a place of your own.

If you need support to live on your own, or can’t afford to rent a place on your own (like lots of folk),  there are lots of ways for us to help you to meet your goal.

Birthdays!

You can get someone to share with you. That might be a friend or even a couple of friends, a relative, or a combination of both. Sometimes the Department of Communities, Disability and Community Care might have some options for you as well.

We have two houses that we own and we provided 24/7 support to the folk who live there. If you are interested in talking to someone about your accommodation needs and you are registered with the government for disability services, we suggest you speak to their  intake officer first.
